Does anyone know if and when the Vitsentzos Kornados is starting back on her run? Also I noticed on Live Ships Map AIS a ship now called Sunny ex-Trelleborg has appeared in Piraeus any idea if a local ferry company has bought her?

Kornaros resumed service yesterday. Her special survey was due this year.

 

Sunny is at Spanopoulos Yard at Salamina, for minor repairs. The rumours are that her final destination is the Persian Gulf.

Thank you very much, regarding the Vitsentzos Kornados my friend worked on her for many years and wants me to take some photographs of her before she eventually heads for the big scrapyard in the sky.

Does anyone of you know if the published timetable for Nissos Samos (Start at 17/6) is realistic? It seems there is still a lot of work necessary...

 

Moreover, HSW has pubslished the timetable for Lavrio - Limnos - Kavala route with Express Pegasus during July-August. Two of the 4 departures per week are not open for bookings yet. Does anyone know what the reason could be?

Is there news regarding Blue Star their incorporation on Algeciras-TangerMed? Rumour is that the El.Venizelos might end up in Algeciras alongside Diagoras?

We only knew about Diagoras.

Venizelos was till recently chartered by the Government, for the refuggee crisis.

Everything is pointing to a chartering to a joint venture between Attica Group and a number of Moroccan banks.

As far as El. Venizelos is concerned (since there is no clue, for time being, that ANEK is part of the JV) an arbitrary guess would be that she may be chartered by Attica and in turn sublet to the JV.

Well, as you can see from the photos in the gallery, the ship is being -slowly but surely- refloated and made water-tight so that she can float well enough to be towed to Turkey and be scrapped on the spot. At this stage at least, this appears to be her predicament. The general feeling is that even sometime next week, depending on the issuance of the necessary paperwork, she could be towed to Aliaga –I presume- for her torching.
