Nick the Greek Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Indeed, looks as if the ship will be "as is, where is" for a long, long time.
Nicksy58 Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Would they make more than 2.700.000 if they sold it for scrapping?
Nick the Greek Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 It's not that simple. According to the Greek legislation, from the moment there are arrest orders in place, she has to be auctioned, she cannot be just sold to one particular party. Whatever money is in the end earned following the auction(that is after auction and judicial costs are deducted) are then distributed to the creditors according to a specific priority list, defined by the law of each country.
Nicksy58 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 These 5 are on the market for sale? See http://grs.group/grs-ferry-cruise/purchase/ferry-cruise-vessels-for-sale Prevelis: 8.000.000 € Superfast XI: 65.000.000 € Ariadne: 30.000.000 € Nissos Rhodos: 12.000.000 € El. Venizelos: 26.000.000 €
Esperos Papadaskalopoulos Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 For some reason Blue Star Chios seems to be sending BS Delos's AIS signal from time to time. Who's got the transponder with him? What is the oldest conventional ferry in Greece still in active duty? Aeolis is from 1968. Any others ships from the 60's? Which active ship has had the longest career in Greek waters? Which active ship has worked the longest time with the same name in Greek waters?
TomJ Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 What routes will Anemos and Superstar II be taking up?
Nicksy58 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Anemos: Piraeus-Serifos-Sifnos-Milos-Santorini and Piraeus-Sifnos-Ios-Santorini Superstar II probably Piraeus-Paros-Naxos-Santorini in the evening.
TomJ Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Anymore news about Olympus? I believe she has been sold.
Panagia Ekatontapiliani Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 She has been acquired by Creta Cargo Lines
TomJ Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 (edited) Thank you. Do you know if they plan to use her or are they going to sell her for scrap? Edited March 8, 2023 by polmyt quote
Panagia Ekatontapiliani Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 They have plans to use it as a Ro-Ro in the Aegean sea.
Ikarus Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Hello, does anybody know when usually the summer timetables to Ios, Sikinos are published (Zante Ferries or new Aegean Sea Lines)? Thank you
Esperos Papadaskalopoulos Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Is the Blue Star Chios moving to the Kassos-Karpathos line? If so, is there timetable for this? Any news or rumours what will happen to Prevelis if the change will happen?
Nicksy58 Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Aegean Sea Lines have uploaded their website. It's only in Greek for the moment and the booking engine is still a demo version. https://aegean-sealines.gr/ The routes would be as follows: 1. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Piraeus at 08:10 to Serifos - Sifnos - Milos - Sifnos - Serifos - Piraeus. 2. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from Piraeus at 07:10 to Sifnos - Ios - Santorini - Sifnos - Serifos - Piraeus

Looks as if the Chios will have to fill other gaps in Attica's lineup prior to converting to her new route. So no timetables available yet.
TomJ Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Is the tanker Filiatra still in use? She used to be on a regular run on the Perama-Aegina route, haven’t seen her for a while.
Nick the Greek Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Took close to 200 years of Greece as a State, to ensure that Aegina island is now connected by pipeline to the mainland in terms of fresh water supply. As a result, all those water tankers are I believe out of job.
TomJ Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 What is Pelagitis up to? This is not her normal route.
Panagia Ekatontapiliani Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 It is going for drydock in Turkish shipyard
TomJ Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) Long way to go. Edited April 29, 2023 by polmyt quote
