The initial plan was for her to sail between Thessaloniki and the Sporades islands, I would imagine she will do just that.

Not a good start for the Aqua Star. First engine problems on Saturday and yesterday leaving 5,5 hours late from Limnos after a problem with the ramp.

Well, having come out of 4 years of inactivity and in such a short time(record time by anyone's standards), it's only to be expected. I think the jury is out and we'll see how she runs in the long run.

Anybody knows where I can find a timetable of the Caldera Vista that started with Inter Cyclades routes yesterday? The one on the Seajets website is an old one and looking at her route yesterday, it was completely different with calls in Karystos and Marmari.

Choose 2 ports that you know she is sailing to and from, choose the particular voyage and then you can expand it and see the full itinerary

Her owners(the chap is called Kalimassias) have requested an annual refit for her "where is". While there is speculation which has to do with her proximity to the Aliaga breakers, the owner for the moment is insisting she will be repaired. Actually it's not even clear what's wrong with her.

As for the change of port, this took place following a petition by part of the municipality of Astypalea. Apparently they never liked the new port and they also felt that calling at the old port under the castle of Astypalea, was better promotion for their island.

 

As for the Caldera Vista, yes indeed. She will be replaced by the Sifnos Jet till early September. But this is Seajets, you never know.

I saw a photo on Facebook and was confused initially. The main port in Chora was indeed more picturesque. But the new port was probably more handily with less traffic going through Chora and of course a shorter trip from Piraeus. (Already a long route of ten hours or so)

Well, the traffic for Astypalea is not that big I guess, so they can afford to have it run through Chora. By the way, been on holiday there and I can strongly recommend the place. Both in terms of holidays, as well as shipspotting.

And Seajets.....indeed you never know. If that wacko gets it in his head tomorrow he's capable of selling all his ships without any notice. I don't like Seajets at all.

Hi all

Any of you in the know, know what the champion jet 1 will be doing after today’s itineraries. As I see on seajets reservations that the Paros Jet will be taking over from Wednesday 1st September 

im guessing it finished for the season

According to this, she will be doing Heraklion to Santorini - Naxos - Mykonos - Paros.

she is a more ideal vessel for the line with better speeds. The poor power jet been struggling this summer with her trim tab issues.

Why has Olympus stopped working, is it mechanical issues or low traffic?

There are rumors that the ship will take the F/B Prevelis line (Kasos-Karpathos).However, there is a case to be sold to SeaJets.

Tom, the question is rather what will happen to ANEK Lines. All indications are that the end is approaching.
